If I send them more than what’s due in the current month, will they subtract that off the total amount, so I won’t have to pay interest on it? Or will they refund the difference? If so, is there anyway to pay it off in 1 year, or will it have to be in 5 years?

My dad and I are very close. I live with my mom but i spend a lot of time with my dad. Recently, i wanted to purchase a car. My mom isn’t able to finance it for me because of the amount of loans she has out already. I asked my dad if he would, mind you, i’m paying for this car myself, but my credit is non-existant. He said he wouldn’t mind if I asked a few years ago, but with the way his business is going, he thinks it’d be risky and the car would be taken away.

Is this true? I’m making all the payments, he knows I will and I know I will, i’ve been working a steady job for a while now and pay very few bills other than my current car’s insurance and gasoline. If this is the case, then i’ll have to forget about it for a little while, but if it isn’t, then my dad would probably help me out.
